Built of limestone in 1911, the tower (with a pump in the top) provided water for Wilson's population of over 1,000. The local constable housed prisoners in the bottom.

Doesn't look like a jail, very interesting work Sue, never seen this before

Thank you, Henk! I had read about the jail and a water tower in this town. I couldn't find the water tower. It wasn't until I was doing some extra research recently that I discovered the water tower and jail were the same building!
